July 23 - August 22 Celebrate with abandon; you’re supposed to!
Your birthday is finally getting the attention it deserves: not just one measly day, but six glorious weeks, from the end of July through Labor Day. Celebrate with abandon; you’re supposed to. You won’t just be having fun (a laudable end in itself), but also prepping the stage for remarkable improvements in your wallet and well-being, well into next summer.
Supersize. Act like a girl again. Primp. Frolic. Party. Live by whim. Enjoy the moths flocking to your flame (and, my, there certainly are a lot of them this summer, some you haven’t seen for ages). Bring old looks and selves and interests out of storage and give them a whirl. (Well…maybe draw the line at a mullet). When early September rolls around, you’ll know which bits to pack away — and which to weave back into your life.
This you-a-rama leaves your self-worth in a state of health that will serve you mightily from here on out. You’re going to find it harder to put up with anything that does not help you run your day or body easily. Pressure has been building; now the time is ripe for action that’ll stick. Drop habits; redo your diet or exercise; restructure your workspace our routine; change your meds; tackle health issues.
Excuses and resistance are falling away as a chapter slams shut in self-talk. No matter what you (or your parents, husband, children, society) may have told you, you now have cosmic permission to make your fundamental worth the centerpiece — and starting point — for everything in your life. You will be rewarded, fiscally as well as physically. Watch for long-brewing payoff in early fall, spring and summer.
Blinders are coming off by the end of the year, which could be disorienting in matters of joint finances, trust, mortality and (shhh) sex. Still, prospects are good for balancing accounts and achieving honest-to-gosh resolution, even in situations you’d written off as hopeless. The astro-activity in intimacy could also spell commitment, even the “m” word, for the previously ring-shy lioness. Not because you’re trapped and caged; because the situation allows, supports and requires the grandest expression of yourself.
And that’s the starting and ending of your journey this year, not to mention all points between: the grandest expression of yourself. Value that. Focus on that. Commit to that. No matter what the act — going on HRT, turning a kid’s bedroom into a studio for you, suing for back child support, hanging out in casinos, riding roller coasters — it will be a celebration of you. And hardly a party of one.
