Spotlight on Aries
March 21 – April 19, 2015

You’re not one to shy away from challenge or trouble. (Heck, you usually instigate it.) But, boy, could you use a breather from both after the work-over the cosmos has been giving you…for, like, years.

Take heart:  It’s coming. You’ll be significantly calmer and more stable by fall, and so will important relationships.  So that’s not as quickly as you’d like, but is anything ever, really? Besides, you’ve got a bit more reinventing of yourself in store.

The reshaping of your career has one more huge evolutionary shudder in March. That coincides with an identity jailbreak even daring old you may not have thought possible. Your birthday gift from the cosmos is a complete reboot of how you see and present yourself. Run with it. Restyle your hair and wardrobe. Adopt a new label for yourself and your career.

The reboot also expands you from head honchette mode to unprecedented awareness of the presence, needs, role, and value of other people. A chapter’s ending in your relationship book, and the next one has rules that fit the new you — and allow more room for others to run alongside, rather than after or behind. Think of it as less responsibility for you. Remind yourself of this benefit when June reignites your Lone Ranger tendencies.

Instead of leaping on the assumption you have to take charge, involve the other person when clean-up work surfaces this summer in core issues of trust, joint money, intimacy, and sharing. Remembering why you do this (anyone up for fun?) is part of the negotiations.

By the fall, the payoff starts rolling in. Your career goes from a succession of carnival rides to settling into stable contours, strong enough to both withstand and further whatever further tinkering you choose to do with yourself. Demands on your schedule increase, but they encourage (okay, require) setting clear boundaries,  handling what’s important, and dropping the rest. Or delegating. Allies in the workplace are positioned and willing to support you, even if the workplace is your home.

The changed conditions also spur taking care of yourself. You need a finely tuned vehicle to meet those revamped obligations out in the world. See if fitness, rest, and proper diet don’t come more naturally after the summer. Yes, you need them; you also want them. Now that you’re not on constant red alert, target the effects of that stress you’ve been under and treat yourself.

Here’s a topic to contemplate during a late fall massage or work out (preferably while minions do your bidding back at the office). The last five years have upended your life and made your question your sanity at times. What kept you going on? Your instincts. Trust. Trust in yourself and a force greater than you. That’s the biggest payoff of all. Hang on to it and it will outlast the petty dramas and irritations and little victories, too. It’s your superpower for the rest of your life.

HotFlashDaily.com was created in the spirit of making every day your very best, even when you just don’t feel like it.

The site was conceived and built through the combined efforts of contributing bloggers, technicians, and impassioned women who believe the way we treat ourselves is a direct reflection of how we feel about ourselves.

We’re looking for true short stories for the website, and perhaps for inclusion in an e-book, from women who want to tell others about their experiences with peri-menopause, menopause, and beyond. We’re looking for experiences, ups/downs/unexpected highs and lows, sticky situations, “what I wish I’d known”, “what I’d tell my younger self”.. you name it!

Submissions should be first-person posts written in a blogging, editorial, or columnist style WITHOUT commercial links.

NOTE: Promotional, commercial articles (with links to commercial websites) will not be accepted for publication. Click here for the small print terms & conditions.
